Research for presentation

Given your structures/organ(s), make a presentation that covers the following information:

• Name of organ (all groups)

• Image of organ with location in the body (all groups)

• Function (all groups)

  • Briefly state function of the organ (all groups)

  • Describe chemical digestion in your organ (mouth, stomach, small intestine only)

  • Describe mechanical digestion in your organ (mouth, stomach, small intestine only)

  • Describe nutrient absorption in your organ (small intestine, large intestine only)

  • Name and describe the effect of the enzymes & substances involved with your organ (mouth, stomach, small intestine, liver, pancreas only)

  • Description and purpose of peristalsis (esophagus, small intestine, large intestine only)

  • What is stored and the purpose of those substances (gallbladder only)

• Disorder/disease associated with your organ (all groups)

  • Description of the disorder/disease (all groups)

  • Connection to your organ (all groups)
     

Presentation Guidelines 

• 6-8 slides (Sample Template )

• 22 point font and above

• Bullet points, NOT paragraphs 

• Use pictures that are associated with the structure/organ(s)

• Use your book and outside resources (through NNHS Learning Commons Pathway) 

• Cite sources on the last slide in MLA format (use NoodleTools to help)

  • You must include 3 sources in total; your book and 2 additional sources found using NNHS Learning Commons
